GOLDEN HARMONY SIGNS RECORDING AGREEMENT WITH CHAPEL VALLEY RECORDS!!
With a span of under eleven years, this musical family trio has been blessed
over and over with success in their ministry.
Golden Harmony members consists of Avis Golden, Jacy Golden and Delton
Hanley.
This New Brunswick southern gospel trio has just signed a recording
agreement
with
Chapel Valley of Sharps Chapel, TN.
Avis Golden (the groups tenor vocalist and pianist) started playing the
piano at the young age of three years old and was her church's pianist for
over thirty years. She previously traveled with fellow Chapel Valley
recording artists,
The Ascensions.
The blend of family harmony with mother-and-son, Avis and Jacy Golden, and
their cousin, Delton Hanley is truly displayed on their latest album,
"Campmeeting", featuring their hit single, "Long As I Got King Jesus",
recorded live at their home church. Currently, they are also putting the
finishing
touches to their newest recording called, "Miracle" to be released this
Fall.
Chapel Valley's marketing and artist director, Richard Hyssong, said this
month, "I have known Golden Harmony and their dedication to tell others
about Jesus Christ for many years. We are thrilled that they have decided
to join our family of artists. Golden Harmony is very popular in the
Maritimes of Canada and Chapel Valley knows that they will be well
received here in the United States."
Jacy Golden (the groups owner, lead vocalist and bass guitarist) has his eyes
focused on ministry as never before. He said this week, "We want to
present Jesus Christ in song. Our main focus is to see lives changed! That
is the most important thing in the hearts of everyone in Golden Harmony."
Golden Harmony has received several awards, including the New Brunswick
Gospel
Music Hall of Fame's Group of the Year Award, as well as being featured on
weekly television broadcast, Souls Harbor. Nothing would be possible if it
were not for God."
Golden said the group is so excited to be a part of the Chapel Valley
family of artists. "Chapel Valley has several events which we can be part
of. We will be taking part at the "
National Quartet Convention" in
Louisville, KY this fall, performing Thursday afternoon. This is the
largest gathering of southern gospel artists in North America. We will
also be performing at the "
Christmas in the Smokies" event in Pigeon Forge,
TN for three days in December. Chapel Valley want us to record a new album
with
them this fall and we are very extremely excited in taking a trip to
Tennessee and do a new project with them. It will be due for release in
2011. They also have compilation CDs and can track our radio airplay. With
45 or more artists in the Chapel Valley family of artists, Golden Harmony
considers it to be an honour to be included."
Delton Hanley (the groups baritone vocalist and saxophone extraordinaire)
added, "We do what we call full-time/part-time ministry, meaning, we still
work regular jobs but travel and sing usually three weekends a month and
often do tours around Atlantic Canada and the Eastern United States. Our
upcoming tours to Florida, Texas and
Louisiana is scheduled for 2011. I am happy to be part of what God is doing
and excited to see what is in store for us next."
Shane Roark, co-owner of Chapel Valley said, "Our company is involved with
ministries all over the world including our work with Compassion
International. We are excited to have Golden Harmony come on board with
us."
Golden Harmony added, "with a recording contract and the increased
exposure that this can bring, we are looking forward to the group going on
to the next level."
Golden Harmony is currently working on their 2011 schedule and have
several concerts booked for this Summer and Fall, including the
28th New
Brunswick Gospel Music Festival in Rusagonis, NB. August 14th;
The
Campbell's Homecoming in Oakland, Maine, August 20th, and the Country Gospel
Music Night with
Joey Knight, The Ascensions and others, at the Playhouse Theatre in

continue to share with others the love of God through music!
